What is micro-dosing?

Microdosing involves taking very small, sub-threshold doses of psilocybin, the active compound found in magic mushrooms, aiming to improve well-being, creativity, and productivity without experiencing intense psychedelic effects. This practice has been embraced by individuals in various sectors seeking to enhance their daily lives. By consuming doses too small to cause significant alterations in perception, people report benefits such as increased focus, emotional balance, and energy, making it a tool for personal and professional development. The subtlety of microdosing allows individuals to integrate these potential benefits into their everyday routine, potentially offering a non-disruptive approach to managing stress, fostering creativity, and improving mental health. However, it’s important to note that research on microdosing’s long-term effects and effectiveness is ongoing, and its legal status varies by location.

Proposition 122 - Colorado’s approach

Proposition 122 in Colorado, known as the Decriminalization, Regulated Distribution, and Therapy Program for Certain Hallucinogenic Plants and Fungi Initiative, was an initiated state statute on the ballot in November 2022 and was approved by voters. This proposition is aimed at creating a legal framework that allows people over the age of 21 to consume psilocybin in state-regulated settings under the supervision of a trained facilitator. Starting in 2026, Colorado regulators could expand access to include other natural psychedelic substances. The proposition is part of broader efforts to offer new treatments for mental health conditions by utilizing the potential therapeutic benefits of natural psychedelic substances.

MyShrooms approach to Psilocybin

In alignment with Colorado’s state laws and the recent passage of Proposition 122, MyShrooms has adopted a non-profit approach to support both research and public access to ancestral medicine. Proposition 122, which legalizes the use of certain natural medicines, enables us to distribute this form of ancestral medication throughout Colorado at no cost. Our initiative is twofold: we support clinical and research applications while also reaching out to everyday consumers seeking to improve their mental health through non-traditional medicinal practices. We are actively seeking partnerships with clinics and physicians across the state who are interested in exploring the benefits of a natural, clean, and pure product. This effort has the potential to significantly transform mental health and psychotherapy, promoting a holistic approach to overall wellness as Colorado works towards legalization.

How will it Work?

DISCLOSURE: We are currently unable to process applications until further regulations are established. However, we invite you to apply for our waitlist, ensuring priority access as soon as these regulations are announced in Colorado. We anticipate beginning the application process and dispensing medicine by January 2025.

MyShrooms is committed to providing access to ancestral medicines in compliance with Colorado’s Proposition 122, through a carefully structured waitlist process. Here’s an overview of how the process will look:

1. Eligibility check: Individuals interested in free samples must pass an eligibility check by submitting proof of Colorado residency and age (all applicants must reside in the state of Colorado and meet the minimum age requirement of 21+).

2. Review and acknowledge: educational materials information on the use and safety of these natural medicines.

3. Application: Applicants submit their details for review.

3. Approval and Waitlist: Qualified applicants are placed on a waitlist, distribution times vary based on product availability and compliance requirements of Proposition 122.

4. Notification: Individuals are notified when they can receive their free sample, along with instructions for safe and informed use.

This process ensures safety, compliance, and an equitable distribution of ancestral medicines, aligning with Proposition 122’s guidelines and objectives in the state of Colorado.
